Moodboards! Word on the street is that they very much still exist in marketing, design and interior projects. With the rise of Pinterest and indeed Instagram, it’s all too easy to get wrapped up in other people’s ideas, trying to replicate something you’ve already seen.

However, having attended an interiors masterclass at the weekend with Sophie Robinson and Daniel Hopwood, a great tip I learnt is that it’s beneficial to draw inspiration from these platforms but always revert back to your original moodboard.

Remain true to yourself and create original content. If you get consumed by social feeds and posts, you’ll lose you way.  Read and develop your own sense of style and let the things around you be of influence such as nature, culture, travel and food.

A great quote that I like to refer to is ‘Be the only athlete in a race’, meaning you should only ever be in competition with yourself.
